I think I finally got Jin means when he doesn't put Kame in his best friend list now, yet saying Kame is someone important in his life...

"True friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance." True friendship can continue to grow, even over the longest distance, if you have the ability to make an effort. There are so many factors that may affect a friendship. Nowadays people are restricted by time I guess, that they lose contact with friends.

Best friends are different from just friend though. Some people say one can only have one best friend at a time. True, if not why the word "best"? Wouldn't it be hard to maintain a bestest friendship if normal friendship are already not easy to? But I guess, in a way, the thing about best friends are you don't have to try to maintain; they just do.

If a person can only have a best friend at one time, then doesn't that means there would be times when your best friend becomes just your friend? But of course, how could someone who used to be your best friend be just a normal friend? Even though the friendship may not be like that in the past, these people would still hold a place in the heart.

To people who were best friends in my memories:
"Friendship is like a violin; the music may stop now and then, but the strings will last forever."

I am glad, because at least there are used-to-bes to smile at.
