There are so many roles a person has to take on. Human in general, role as your gender, as a teenager, as a student, as a friend, as a child, as a sibling, etc.....
I was saying today how I would mostly be nice if you are nice to me, not if you are not. Thinking again, the implication in between how one treats others is probably too complicated to conclude just with a sentence. It's like, maybe you may be nice to me directly as a friend, but perhaps I don't like how you handle things sometimes, then I would probably get defensive. As a friend, maybe I shouldn't have done certain things, but as another role, probably I prefer it this way.
I am still trying to justify whether people being insensitive on purpose or by nature is worse. Being insensitive on purpose makes people helpless; being insensitive by nature makes you hopeless.
